We would like to call to your attention an upcoming event that could be of value to those of your students who are interested in the biomedical sciences.  On July 20, 2012, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will host its 5th NIH Graduate & Professional School Fair.  More than 140 colleges and universities from across the U.S. will be sending representatives of their graduate schools, medical and dental schools, schools of public health, and other biomedically relevant programs to the Fair in hopes of recruiting college students and recent graduates to their programs.  The day will also include workshops on getting to graduate or professional (medical/dental) school; MD/PhD programs; careers in public health, psychology, dentistry, and pharmacy; interviewing successfully, and the NIH postbac program.

NIH Graduate & Professional School Fair details:

Date:  July 20, 2012
Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Location: Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD

Students who wish to participate must register at https://www.training.nih.gov/gp_fair.  At this site they will also find more detailed information describing the Fair, including a preliminary agenda, a list of participating institutions, detailed directions for getting to the Fair, and suggestions for ensuring successful attendance.  NOTE: there is no charge for attending the Fair.

Seeking a Jr Systems Engineer with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or other Engineering Discipline) to learn the Electronic Security Systems (Physical and Logical Access Control Systems) functional area through hands-on and formal training measures. Will be responsible for developing skills necessary to become proficient in the application of complex security systems, general supervision, and management of personnel and technical functions. Candidate will be groomed to manage large-scale programs with multiple technical tasks (delivery orders). Will progress professional development to a point where candidate will be responsible for supervising technicians and coordinating all aspects of the installation of electronic physical security systems at multiple sites in a specific geographical location.

Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering Discipline

- Possess or have ability to obtain Security Clearance (Secret/Top Secret)

- Obtain certifications to include PMP, Lenel Platinum, MDI vendor certification, and miscellaneous hardware/software vendor certifications

- Proficient communications skills

- Proficiency in MS Project
