Summer Intern Presentations
On Wednesday, 31st August, 5:00-6:00 in ISAT/CS Room 136 the Virginia Center of Wind Energy at JMU will host a series of short presentations from student interns who worked with the Center this past summer. A range of projects that involve resource assessment and siting, mapping and GIS analysis, wind/energy education in schools, and other topics will be described and a brief overview of the Center provided. Future opportunities for students to engage with the Center will also be discussed. Pizza will be provided near the end of the session. Program Manager Position Available
American Alternative Fuel is looking to hire a program manager. I don't have a lot of details yet, but they are a company that manufactures propane CNG alternative fuel conversion systems. They are doing some big national fleet conversions and need someone to assist with a federally funded southeast conversion project. My company, Solers, is looking to fill more than a dozen technical positions within our company here in Chantilly, VA and at some of our other DC-area locations. Many positions will require a security clearance but the only real prerequisites are US citizenship, a technical background, and a willingness to learn - a BS degree in a technical program sure helps, though!
