Where I went to school: The College of New Jersey (2010) James Madison University (2013)

What I want to be when I grow up: Still working on it!

Favorite college activity: Being an ambassador. I loved meeting prospective students.

Favorite part of JMU: The Views. My office in Wilson overlooks the Quad – it’s breathtaking!

Favorite JMU Memory: Getting my picture taken with President Alger at the Purple Out. He was so nice!

When I am not at JMU, I am … Hanging out with my puppy, Dixie.

The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at West Virginia University 
(WVU) has multiple faculty in search of exceptional graduate students interested in
pursuing a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering with a  focus on astrodynamics, space systems,
and/or spacecraft navigation. These faculty are part of the Space Flight and Systems
research area within the MAE department.

The Space Flight and Systems area is a broad multi-disciplinary research area concerned
with all aspects of the planning, design, fabrication, operation, servicing, and disposal of
spacecraft. Research within the MAE Department focuses on orbital mechanics, trajectory
optimization, spacecraft design, spacecraft navigation, space robotics, and satellite
servicing. Additionally, WVU is home to the state-of-the-art West Virginia Robotic
Technology Center (http://wvrtc.com/) that is developing technologies to enable a
servicing spacecraft to grapple a client spacecraft for repair or refueling.

To participate in on-campus interviews, the Recruit-A-Duke tutorial is MANDATORY so that you can learn how to use the On-Campus Recruiting portion within the system and is for everyone seeking internships or full-time positions.  Also learn about additional services that can be accessed through Recruit-A-Duke such as links to Federal Employment and Nationwide Job Searches.
