The Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) at Sweet Briar College is devoted exclusively to the research and scholarly endeavors of undergraduate students. Students from all academic disciplines are invited to submit abstracts, and may choose to present their work in a poster session or an oral presentation session.
At the most recent conference, in October 2010, over 100 students from 18 colleges and universities presented their work in the sciences, arts, humanities and social sciences.The 13th annual MARCUS conference will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011. A preliminary call for abstracts will be sent in March to those on our mailing list. Online registration for the conference will begin in August.
