We have a unique opportunity for entry and mid-level Electrical Engineers to assist the US Patent and Trademark Office in researching, analyzing, and classifying new technical patent applications. As a Patent Classifier, you will have a front row seat to the latest in technology!
We provide a thorough training program, on-site mentoring, beautiful offices, and a large team of enthusiastic researcher engineers as your professional colleagues.
We are specifically seeking candidates with academic research and/or job experience in as many of the following as possible:
General pulse or digital communications, multiplex communications, cellular communications, image analysis, graphics processing, dynamic information storage & retrieval, digital photography, video broadcasting, video signal processing, computer memory systems, processors, networks, databases, cryptography, and control systems.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science or closely related field
• The ability to multitask, think on the go and adapt to changing situations.
• Demonstrated experience performing research and analysis
• Ability to learn and perform complex processing operations
• Meticulous attention to details
• Ability to learn and utilize automated systems to perform research
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to function in a production-based environment, including operating efficiently, accurately and at a significant pace.
• Motivated to meet and eventually exceed productivity and quality targets
• Solid communication skills
• Attention to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems and work independently without need of excessive supervision
• Ability to work on a computer workstation 8 hours per day
• Academic or work exposure to semi-conductors a plus
