Malta 2014 Summer Study Abroad
for Engineering, ISAT, Geographic Science, and IdLS
The Malta Summer Study Abroad program is one of JMU’s longest-running international programs. During the four-week program students explore the unique environmental, cultural, economic, and political issues of Malta. They are immersed in 7,000 years of history as they visit ancient temples and grand palaces. Megaliths, medieval dungeons, Renaissance cathe-drals, Baroque palaces, and some of the oldest known human structures, are located throughout the island.
The six-credit hour May session program includes:
- A team oriented project/field work course with a Maltese mentors,
- Coursework investigating the interrelationships between technology, economics, history, and culture, and their implications for sustainability
- A cultural learning program, organized social and extracurricular activities.
