  • Accessing the list of companies scheduled to recruit at JMU
  • Viewing key deadlines to submit resumes or sign up for interviews
  • Selecting and confirming interview times with companies who have selected you

Mock Interviews

  • Gain behavioral interviewing experience with employers.  Feedback is provided to the student at the conclusion of the interview .
  • Mock Interviews are by appointment only and you must sign up ahead of time on Recruit-A-Duke.
  • The dress code for mock interviews is business professional.

Recruit –A-Duke Resume Review

  • Schedule a time slot to meet with an employer representative to acquire feedback on your resume.
  • Please bring a draft of your resume and you may want to review http://www.jmu.edu/cap/resumes_cover/index.htm to assist in developing a draft of your resume if you do not already have one.
  • If there is time to do so, you may want to conduct an informational interview and/or acquire feedback regarding interviewing skills in order to better prepare yourself for the recruiting process.

Job Postings and Resume Books

  • With Job Postings, employers post positions on Recruit-A-Duke with the purpose of ONLY collecting resumes.
  • These opportunities often turn into on-campus interviews or interviews at the employers’ site.
  • Having a current resume uploaded on Recruit-A-Duke and selecting “yes” on the Privacy tab under Profile allows your resume to be included in resume books and will provide those employers that have been granted access by Recruiting Services the capability to search through resumes in the system.
