Laura will be having office hours on East Campus Office again this year.  Her hours for the Fall 2012 semester will be on Tuesdays: from 3:00-5:00pm, in ISAT/CS 318. Walk in’s, no appointment needed.

Recruit-A-Duke Online Tutorial – Available online!


To participate in on-campus interviews, the Recruit-A-Duke tutorial is MANDATORY so that you can learn how to use the On-Campus Recruiting portion within the system and is for everyone seeking internships or full-time positions.  Also learn about additional services that can be accessed through Recruit-A-Duke such as links to Federal Employment and Nationwide Job Searches.

This event is sponsored by Career & Academic Planning and provides an opportunity for you to have your resume reviewed by employers in a relaxed environment.  Arrive with a draft copy of your resume, you will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis and be able to meet with an employer and gain valuable insight and perspective on your resume!  Dress is casual.  Log into Recruit-A-Duke to see which employers are participating.

Mock Interview Program – Sonner Interview Center


Most interviews are at least partially behaviorally-based, asking for examples of experiences from your past that is used to predict your future performance. What kinds of questions might you expect? And how can you prepare for them? The best way is practice! Take this opportunity to practice your interview skills with employers and gain real feedback that you wouldn’t normally receive from an interview—what you did well and how you can improve.
