We hope this e-mail finds you all well as we enter the last stretch of the spring semester. CISR is very excited to once again host the Senior Managers' Course in ERW and Mine Action. This is our ninth SMC and our fourth with funding from the US Department of State.
As part of our planning for the 2013 SMC, CISR will be hiring multiple Summer Program Assistants to work before and during the course. The SMC will be held on campus from 13 May to 7 June and will include (visas pending) 22 participants from 18 countries. Because this is a limited engagement (training in mid-April and activities concluded by mid-June), it is an excellent chance for graduating seniors who may want to be involved but haven't yet had the opportunity.
Full details on the position as well as a link to the posting on JMU Joblink are available here: http://cisr.jmu.edu/Other/students.html
Please feel free to share with your classes, advisees or other students. We will begin reviewing applications at the end of this week.
best regards,
Suzanne Fiederlein and Geary Cox
